PURPOSE OF POSITION: The role of the Food Program Specialist is to service home daycare providers.  The position also oversees implementation, review and maintenance of provider documentation.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Handles initial provider enrollment paperwork
Travels to and from reviews
Conducts reviews to include preparation, planning, scheduling and follow up
Collects and reviews provider claim forms on a monthly basis
Provides CACFP in-home training
Provides outside of home training on an annual basis
Performs parental contacts
Updates child enrollment forms on an annual basis
Recruits day care providers
Provides interpretation, translation, and counseling for providers
Inputs provider logs into the computer
Performs a variety of required clerical responsibilities to include computer, telephone and filing skills



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Demonstrated project coordination and planning skills

Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and analytical skills required

Ability to multi-task

Ability to interface effectively with internal and external business partners

Experience and comfortable working with computer

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree preferred
Bilingual in the Russian and Spanish languages required
Nutrition background a plus
Experienced with coordination and managing protects required
