Our Mission
Our mission is to impact our community by helping children and families of all race, color and creed to live healthier, more dignified lives by encouraging proper care, nutrition, balanced eating habits and fitness.
In achieving our mission, Love Little Children, Inc. is guided and governed by the following beliefs:
- High quality training and support services to daycare providers and families are the foundation of our program.
- Providers, children, and families are treated with concern, respect and courtesy in a professional manner.
- We endeavor to develop partnerships with government, donors, grantors and community resources to maximize our ability to serve the community.
- Our staff is our greatest asset and the source of our success.
- Each member of our staff is responsible and accountable for excellence in providing service and care.

Our History
In April 2003, Love Little Children came into existence. The Executive Director, Nadia Bobyk, being of Ukrainian decent saw that there was a great need to translate the USDA standards for nutrition and education to the many Ukrainian/Russian speaking Americans providing home daycare services. Nadia Bobyk’s vision expanded beyond the confines of her own culture. She had a desire to create an organization that could meet the needs of the diverse population that California enjoys. Because of her vision, she was able to connect with others within the community who shared a desire to improve the lives of a diverse population of children and families through creating a service oriented non-profit organization that would encourage nutrition and education. By bringing together people, who create the Board of Directors and who share this vision, Love Little Children was birthed. Today, the organization ensures that more than 1,800 children of every race and cultural background are fed nutritious meals in home daycare environments each and every day, and this is just the beginning of the programs that Love Little Children intends to implement to improve children’s lives.
Love Little Children seeks to make all of its paperwork and materials to be as easy and understandable as possible for each provider. In May 2005, Love Little Children received the Victory Against Hunger Award. The Victory Against Hunger Award is given by the United States Congress, and Love Little Children was recognized as a leader in innovative outreach campaigns and an organization that demonstrated a contribution to improving the quality of childcare within the Greater Sacramento community.
